Ikea, redux

Actually it’s like fourdux but I don’t know the word for that if there is one (quadux?) and shortly it will be quindux because one of the things we needed was out of stock and won’t be back in until Thursday.

This is the move that will never end, I swear to god.

Anyway, we went out to Ikea yesterday. The best part was that on the bus there was a little boy in a Superman coat. I was wearing my Spider-Man hoodie. We kinda gave each other the nod when I got on the bus, and when I got off, he waved and said, “Bye, Spider-Man!” :))

We now have storage things for the bathroom, which means we’ll be able to remove the bookshelf that’s currently in there and use it for, y’know, books. We also have a full-length mirror and a decent medicine cabinet for the bathroom now. What we were unable to get were the big shelves to set up over the washer/dryer/freezer, which will offer desperately necessary storage space in a surprisingly large utility room.

We have a new TV corner unit (two, in fact, stacked on top of one another because it’s impossible to find a TV stand I think is high enough even if you *don’t* have a 3 year old inclined to tackle things) which has glass fronted doors, meaning we don’t have to open them to use the X-Box and cable box. Which is handy, and will be even more so when the child locks are put on the door so a certain young someone can’t let himself in. So we’ve got almost enough storage/stuff we need for this house. I hope we don’t have to move for several years. :/

In the meantime, I have no idea where I’m going to work. Right now my captain’s chair is sitting in a corner next to a wardrobe, but there’s not enough room to open the keyboards there. I guess I’ll have to move it in and out so I can use it. Which is kind of a pain in the ass, but there’s pretty literally nowhere else I’m going to be able to fit it, so. :p
