I fall down stairs. :(
Did a bang-up job, too. Managed to smack every single limb, bruising my right elbow and left forearm and not, I think, managing to bruise my shins. I have no idea how I managed to hit every limb, but ow. My camera, which I was carrying, is okay, which is good, because insomuch as I had any thought process during the tumble, it was, “Fuck! The camera!”
Ted bought me a Cadbury creme egg ’cause I falled down the stairs. Oh, God, these things are so disgusting, and I like them so much. And it’s *awful*, because they’re only available for about six weeks in the States, so I only let myself have one around Easter and it’s a Treat, but they have them from like December 28th to mid-July here. It’s AWFUL. The TEMPTATION, it TEMPTS me. *flails*
Dude. Don’t do that, you big dork.
*flails*
See, that’s a good sign. If limbs are flailable they most likely aren’t broken into tiny little pieces.
Ow. Big sorry.
ow ow ow.
Ouch.
Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.
Creme Eggs are utterly, utterly, disgustingly wonderful. The first ones were out in the shops here long before Christmas (as in at least a couple of weeks). And I was able to buy three last year for 50p (about 75 euro cents) in August just before MeCon! :D (In retrospect, I think it was probably the sudden infusion of chocolate and creme fondant that kept me sane that first night!)
Which part of “NO DYING!!!” was unclear?
Fall down stairs bad! No fall down stairs.
Oh man, Cadbury chocolate is the most delicious chocolate. Did you know you can take tours of the Cadbury factory in England?
OwOwOW. Poor Kit. You’re entitled to a treat!
They are icky sweet! They make my teeth hurt! And yet, I cannot resist the creme filled goodness. Or is that badness?
And ouch about the stairs!
Owww!
(When I fell down stairs a year ago, I did a nasty flat bounce down the steps rather than a flailing tumble. I managed to deep bruise just about everything in my torso, including intercostal muscles, and I was almost unable to breathe. Nothing broken, nothing sprained, but my goodness, I’d have preferred a clean break or two rather than a pain level high enough to require prescription painkillers for a fortnight.)
As for the creme egg. Euw! Those things are disgusting. I truly loved them as a kid, but I really don’t have that level of sweet tooth any more.
Enough of the clumsy badness to be really embarrassing; not enough to rate cards and flowers and extra attention. Are you sure you aren’t channeling me?
Owie – I’m glad you didn’t break anything. What is it with Irish stairs? My friend who lives in Belfast trips on them all the time!
Ow!
The thing I always find annoying about the limited American distribution for the Cadbury creme eggs is that it always seems to run over Passover. At least, I most notice them in the supermarket when I’m doing Passover shopping, or when it’s Passover, and I can’t really buy one.
Although I do sometimes buy one in advance, and eat it on the way home if the holiday hasn’t started yet. Mmm… sugar…
Silly Kit. Stairs are for climbing, not falling down.
I used to love those Cadbury creme things. They’re too sweet for me now, I shudder to admit. But I like the caramel ones…
I, too, know the shame of Cadbury creme egg lust.
A few years ago now, when and myself lived in Donnybrook, we would often walk into the city through the lovely Georgian streets in between. One Sunday morning, as we walked along an otherwise deserted street, we say a Cadbury’s Creme Egg shaped car parked outside one of the houses. Just as we came up to it, a man came out of the house and gave us both a Cadbury’s Creme Egg, which he took out of the back of the car. An absolutely magic moment.
Don’t be throwing yourself down any more stairs, though.
-howls- That is radically cool. Hooray for magic moments. :) :) :)
Oh, yikes! I’m glad you didn’t break anything like, you know, your neck.
Yay for candy!
Now tell us true. Did you fall down the stairs because Ted would then bring you a creme egg? Bad Kit!
Hope you feel better soon!
Next time, try falling up rather than down.
Cadbury creme eggs! *swoon!* Little bombs of absolute caloric evil. And I love them so.
But I’m sorry you fell down the stairs. :(
Glad you’re okay.
