We’re going on holiday tomorrow. I’m declaring it an Internet Fast, at least to the best of my ability to do so when I still have actual access to the internet, so I’ve jumped the gun and have published YEAR OF MIRACLES on Amazon et all so I don’t have to do it while on vacation. Revisit the world of the Old Races and discover the pieces that set the Negotiator Trilogy into play… Four hundred years ago, master vampire Eliseo Daisani and dragonlord Janx both fell in love with…
bucket list
I recall, in college, writing what would now be referred to as a Bucket List. I don’t remember much of what was on it–publish 50 books and own a black stallion are the two items I remember. (Even at the time, the former seemed more likely than the latter.) A couple years ago I went to the Hill of Tara, which, thanks to Madeline L’Engle, was Bucket List material for me, and I tell you what, I think this is one for the Bucket List, too: Earth Meets Sky: the…
Batman!
Yesterday I went out in an (ultimately futile) attempt to find an e-book that didn’t make me angry. I failed*, but I found something much better: Batman patrolling the streetes of GothamDublin! She was saying, “My family is DEAD!” in this photo. :) I’d caught a glimpse of her, and had thought her splendid, but I…
housecleaning
I do not understand how I can simultaneously want to GET RID OF CRAP and yet still have such attachment to much of said crap. Ted and I both gave up cleaning at the same time, having apparently reached some level of existential despair about the entire matter. We’ve made great progress, but we’ve gone past the point where it seems like it should all be DONE NOW THANK YOU and it’s not, so: existential despair. And just to be annoying, my e-reader seems to have gone on the fritz.…
where did it go?
June has been equally extremely long and extremely blurred. I have had no sense of the day of the week most of the month, only a constant sense of bewilderment that it’s Not The Weekend Yet, or The Weekend Is Already Over? (I’m very proud of myself, though: I haven’t been working on weekends. Which does make them seem more important. Who knew?) For Kickstarter Patrons: the proposal chapters for HEAVEN CAN WAIT have been delivered. Almost done with the whole project now, except the pursuit of the physical objects…
