A friend of ours won a free screening of any film she chose, and chose “The Princess Bride”, so yesterday we and about a dozen other people were treated to a big-screen showing. I haven’t seen The Princess Bride on the big screen since it came out, and I must say, aside from the audience-wide chuckle at Fred Savage’s cutting edge 1987 Atari baseball game, it has aged flawlessly. Every time I see that movie I hope everyone involved knew just what a wonderful, wonderful film they were making. It’s…
Help Find Amy
One of my readers asked me to boost the signal on a friend of hers who’s gone missing. She says: A friend of a friend of mine, Amy Ahonen, disappeared on 7/8 from the highway west of Golden, CO. I tried it on again at the shop, because she’d been concerned about the tightness of the arms, and I thought “Huh, not quite as tight as I’d thought, guess I mis-remembered, it’ll be great for E!” And I bought it. When I got home I thought “I’ll exhale to the bottom of my soul so I can get the thing buttoned up and get a picture of it, anyway, because it’s…
