Years ago, Neil Gaiman posted a sad post about how his youngest daughter had reached an age where she refused to travel without her hairspray and other styling accoutrements, which meant he could no longer travel with carry-on luggage only. I’ve just had a debate with my mom about this article, which I think has great points, and which she thinks is hyperbolic. She would like it to be “How to get better at anything!” instead of “Six keys to being excellent at anything”, which is probably a fair distinction. Last night we went to the protest to protest police violence at protests. :) It was my first protest, and kinda fun, although one of their chants sounded suspiciously like “You scream?
