Oddly enough, I only ever heard the phrase “begin as you mean to go on” in relation to the new year (or at all) last year, but I kinda liked it. And I have, perhaps not entirely through my own free will, begun as I’d like to go on. Less sugar, more fruit, which is a perennial … “goal” is overstating it. Vague intention. :) Not so much with the 1K a day that’s the Necessary Goal to get RAVEN CALLS done on time. So far I’m only 1K behind…which…
Apparently…
Apparently 2011 is the sort of year in which I re-discover the cool hats I own, and decide to wear them. (And then take self-portraits in car windows.) It is also the year I’m going to try to do and post more photography in general. Small in the Large I have hopes of writing a revolutions post sometime soon, but I’m not actually very confident of that happening. Oh well, happy new year anyway! :)
Er.

She and I both thought it would be fun to have the kids talk to the Real Live Author, so I spent several hours talking with several of her classes. They’ve written me thank-you letters. They just arrived in the mail, and I mean dozens of them. I’ve only read a few so…

Throw a party! Lose weight! Make fudge! Nevermind that those last two things are incompatible! I WILL TRIUMPH! Unexpectedly, I actually accomplished all those things except finishing the coat, which I’m still trying to figure out how to manage. The problem is that Young Indiana’s nap time is the obvious, and in fact only, time to work…
