So I’m doing Nanowrimo this year, because the Sekrit Project–which is not so Sekrit anymore, having been outed on FB, so I’ll tell you what it is in a minute here–because the Sekrit Project is due soon and I have this novella to write, and it happens that the approximate number of words that need writing is 50,000, so hey, NNWM it is. The astute among you will immediately notice that what I am proposing to do is not actually within NNWM guidelines. And I must say, having just been…
Sporadic Gaming Group
Ted and I would like to set up a Sporadic Gaming Group, which will be contingent on his work schedule, which changes sometimes as often as weekly. At best I would think it would be a group that met every 2 weeks, but it’s more likely, I think, that it would meet every 3. Or so. Furthermore, realistically, it would have to be an early-ish game on whatever days it ended up being scheduled (and that would change), because Young Indiana’s schedule demands early-ish wrap-up. So if you’re in Dublin…
pleased with self.
I have managed to write about 5,000 words this week, and have completed a short story, which means that approximately 2/3rds of The Sekrit Project is done. I will never catch up on posting pictures or cleaning the house or writing (actually writing is going pretty well–first story for the Sekrit Project is nearly done) or X-Files or other TV or or or or or– I did, however, manage to go to two movies on Wednesday. Not this week, but on Wednesday specifically. Two. “The Social Network” at…
Octocon
Or as I like to think of it, Octocon 5, since it’s only the fifth one we’ve been to. :) It was a lovely weekend with lovely people, which, I am glad to say, is the second year in a row I’ve felt Octocon has been a success. It was as low-key for me as a convention possibly can be, as I was very tired Saturday and actually sick with a head cold on Sunday (hi, I’m this year’s Patient Zero for Octoconcrud), but I do think a good time…
