a day in dublin

Poor Ted had a migraine yesterday (and Friday; I hope it’s defeated today), so he didn’t go with me in to Dublin to see John & Leah et all. I had a lovely lunch with themselves and Pádraig and Deirdre (Pádraig hauled us all into the Dublin City Gallery to show us Francis Bacon’s reconstructed studio, which was a nightmare. I mean, not only could I not work in that, but stepping inside it made me actively uncomfortable. However, John, peering in the window at the utter disaster, said to…

tipping point x2

A couple chapters turned out shorter this week, so I ended up with 7 instead of the anticipated 6 or the acceptable 5. word wars FTW!

Word wars for the win today! I was up early and got 2500 words written before noon, and then had an unexpectedly good word war afternoon and did another 1800, for a total of 4300 words today! *boogies* That puts me at 189 pages, so I should reach my goal of 200 pages tomorrow without much trouble. We might go watch a bad movie tonight. *cheerful* :) ytd wordcount: 119,600 miles to Minas Tirith: 183.5

It works *every time*.…

We have wee little apple blossoms on our apple tree! And a wee small rhubarb popping up! Hooray! Woot! The fifth Walker Papers books has a title! It will be DEMON HUNTS, and I am having a very good time writing it right now. Yay! Dude. You guys came up with some fantastic casting choices for the Negotiator trilogy. I wish I had about fifteen copies of the anthology to send out, because you did *not* make this an easy choice! I’m going to have to do something cool for…
