It’s late, so I’m intending this to be only a very brief review of Beauty and the Beast, although I have a great deal to say about it and may get carried away. The very short version is, while I’m glad I went, it was an adequate performance of largely bad material, and as far as staging it is concerned, I would have done it *entirely* differently, just about from top to bottom. I think it suffered badly in comparison to the stage version of The Lion King, which is…

Dana envy :)
Mom’s borrowed the Dana so she can take it into the National Library and transcribe baptismal records, which you’re not allowed to photocopy, photograph, or make printouts of from the microfilm. He’s a better person than I am. …*agh*. Okay, that is the *first* time I’ve ever seen a major news…

Well, I managed to stay offline until 3:30, anyway. :) Read a book–oh I *hate* that! About a third of the way through it, I started thinking, “Well, when are they going to bring the other character back in? They’ve got to do it fast if they’re going to wrap it up by the end of the book…” About halfway through it, I realized that they were *not* going to wrap this up by the end of the book, and checked: the author apparently intends to write 8 books, and…

I’m seriously considering taking a page from ‘s book and not logging onto the intarweb-connected computer until 5pm daily or something. Given how many hours ahead of most of the people I talk to regularly I am anyway, this would make absolutely no difference to anyone but me. :) I’ve discovered local (to Cobh) yoga classes. Beginning classes…
