every shop in cork

I think I went into every shop in Cork today. I spent over two hours looking for something appropriate to wear to the Saturday night banquet. The sole thing I found that would have worked–a lil’ tuxedo-y jacket sort of thing–they did not have in my size. And I *hate* shopping. It was not a pleasant morning. :p OTOH, we did meet up with for lunch, which was much nicer than tromping around and failing to find anything to buy. :) We then had a bookstore accident at Other Realms,…

get out of jail free

I’ve been handed a get out of jail free card! I didn’t very much want to go to Spanish class tonight, and a while ago, the teacher called and said it’d been cancelled! Hah! I am just completely goddamned delighted right now! It came in at, um. 132,000 words, and frankly the last two or three chapters need an assload of work, but *damn*, the big work is DONE! *Wow*! *falls over and kicks feet and EHEHEHEHEHEH SQUEEEEEEE*! ytd wordcount: 366,600

aww.

Aww. Didn’t get the spiffy Rogue figurine. Vaguely annoying, in that I was outbid by $.01, but I took up ‘s advice of “bid what you’re actually willing to pay and forget about it until the auction is over” some years ago and have yet to be actually displeased with the results, so. :) It was a wonderously foggy morning this morning. I’m hoping it’ll be the same tomorrow so I can go out and take peektures. I’m taking tomorrow off whether the book is done or not, so peekture-taking…
