random tidbits

This has been quite a day in the writing world, at least for people I know. and have both acquired agents, at least 50% of them in a totally non-traditional (but very typical for them) way. *laughs* Congratulations to both of them!

My thinks to do list does not keep getting shorter as I get things done. It just changes. That’s not fair. I want it to disappear! Maybe I need two lists. One for day to day stuff and one for the big stuff. *eyes the page layout*

Hn. Dinking around going from user to user, I’ve been reading some of ‘s postings. He’s got a couple of good questions over the last couple months, one being How do you define a writing “career”? What makes/would make you feel successful? and the other being What’s your take on critique groups? Do you favor “flat groups” (all peers or near-peers), “tall pole groups” (one sponsoring pro among aspiring or new writers), or “tennis ladder groups” (multiple levels of aspiring and pro writing experience intermixed)? I shall make an attempt to address them in the next few days, ’cause why not? :)

I had 3 people compliment me on my hat while I was out walking today. Two of them were guys driving by in cars. One was in his late 20s and the other I didn’t see, but sounded like a teenager. I’m pretty sure the woman was actually complimenting the hat, but given the shirt I’m wearing, I’m not *strictly* sure the other two were focused on the hat… :)
