It’s release day for OctoBEARfest!
This is a spinoff from the Virtue Shifters series, a direct sequel to HOLD MY BEAR and KOALAFIED FOR LOVE, and since I’ve been planning it for YEARS it was very satisfying to get to finally write it. :D
Early readers have been exceptionally positive about this one, which makes me very happy, obviously, but one of the things that makes me especially happy is that some of them said things like “it was like going to a really good music gig” and “it’s like happy song you know from the first note you can sing along with it” (although that might have been about the cover :D), and, see…
See, one of my long-standing personal ambitions has been to write a book that makes you feel like you’ve just listened to a Jim Steinman song on full blast, and the early responses make me think I might have succeeded here? Or at least come as close to it as you can with a 60,000 word book instead of a 6 minute song. So I’m just really happy about this one, and I hope everybody likes it. ♥
Grizzly shifter Bill Torben has spent his life working for his family’s brewery and has loved every minute of it, although he’s a liiiittle bit envious of his younger brother leaving town and almost immediately finding his fated mate. But the brewery has been on shaky ground for the past few years, and Bill’s sense of responsibility won’t let him step away to look for a new future of his own.
And it’s just as well, because Gwen Booker is about to rock his world. Hired to be the musical talent at the brewery’s annual Oktoberfest, Gwen bursts onto the scene with beauty, enthusiasm, talent…
…and the wrong kind of music. There was a mixup somewhere along the way, and they hired rock musician Gwen Booker instead of jazz musician Gwendolyn Brooker…
Bill has never been so grateful for a mistake in his life. Now if they can navigate a path through love, music, and homebrew beer, together they might just get OctoBEARfest back on its feet!
