I actually finished chapter two on SBX4. Go me. 2700 words, which isn’t a LOT, but it’s not bad, particularly for my brain being all gooey and tired. Then I read Michele Hauf’s GOSSAMYR, so it’s been a nice quiet evening.
Ok, the truth is, the only real reason I have for making this post is to keep track of my ytd wordcount.
Well, that and to mention that Ted made honey-dijon marinated pork chops and some sort of rather exotic mashed potatoes that involved yogurt and leeks and cabbage for dinner. It was really good.

And your dinner sounds nummy. I may have to try the yogurt thing in mashed potatoes. (I’ve been using Laughing Cow Garlic & Herb and fat-free sour cream to good effect)

I’m mildly amused that you proclaim mashed potatoes with leeks and cabbage “exotic” when you’re living in *Ireland*, which is the home of all things potato-leek-cabbage. The yogurt, I’ll admit, is quite daring, but the rest? Sounds suspiciously like colcannon to me… :)

Ah, Michele Hauf’s GOSSAMYR…I liked that one. I didn’t necessarily agree with her version of the fairy world, but then I didn’t grow up knowing the actual stories about fairies. I just saw pictures and knew what they were called, so I have quite a different impression of them than is probably accurate, historically speaking. But since they’re mythical beings, I don’t care if I’m wrong. Anyway, I liked that one. I had bad dreams where I was popping colorful balloony, bubbly things afterwards, though.
