Convention Centre Dublin View[/caption] I’m not absolutely sure this should qualify as a Kitsnap, but what the heck. I was in Dublin’s new convention centre a while back, and this panorama is one I took from an upper floor, overlooking the docklands.
Now this gargoyle is definitely at St Finbarr’s Cathedral in Cork, even if I’m not sure about the apse photo from the other day. :) I like gargoyles, as people might guess. :)
This magnificently ugly fellow is Ted’s nemesis at the zoo. Every time they’ve encountered each other, the hornbill defends his territory like crazy. Ted wasn’t with us when I took this, and the hornbill was showing off mightily for his lady friend, so I got some great pictures. :)
There’s a maintained forest in Cobh, Marlogue (Marlow) Wood. Scattered throughout it are small ruins, houses that have been taken back by the wood. This is my favorite shot I took of one, a hearth that appears in remarkably good condition, given that everything around it has largely disappeared.
A few-second, maybe 10-second, exposure, taken while balancing the camera on top of a post because I didn’t have a tripod and was apparently bored with just snapping shots of passers-by. Mostly I like the color in this.
