I wrote 700 words last night and got depressed over the fact that LG isn’t as good as The Secret Country, and so I quit writing and read some of TSC instead, and bizarrely that made me feel somewhat better. LG is a different story. I still want it to be as *good* as TSC, but … well, it made me feel a little better, anyway.
I also wrote up about a page’s worth of notes and thoughts on LG, so it wasn’t a total waste of an evening. I’m starting to get more of a feel for what’s going on, although there are still some mental rough spots. I need to go research some fairy tales. Actually, I should start by picking Angie’s brain, that might be fastest.
I would like to have 10K words written before the weekend. I’d still be behind, but it would be nice to reach that number. Eh, we’ll see.
