Have I mentioned lately how remarkable it is to live without back pain? After almost a month of being pain-free, I’m still amazed by it on a regular basis. No pain is goooooood. (Maybe, Mary Anne, this is what they meant by ‘average’ pain. Perhaps they were talking about something chronic, in which case there are indeed days of average pain.)

but the “average” was in the middle of the scale, between “no pain” and “extreme pain” but maybe……*shrug*
