at long, long last…

Ladies and gentlemen, I am *exceedingly* pleased to announce, at long, long last, the official launch date of my comic book, “Take A Chance”. Dabel Brothers Publishing, in conjunction with artist Ardian Syaf (“The Dresden Files”), colorist Jason Embury (“Hero By Night”, “Shadowhawk”), letterer Melissa S. Kaercher (“Dr. Blink, Superhero Shrink”), cover artist Scott Clark (“X-Men”, “Stormwatch”), and writer C.E. Murphy (“The Walker Papers”, “The Negotiator Trilogy”) bring you “Take A Chance”, a superhero comic series about Frankie Kemp, aka “Chance”, a woman who loses her son to gang violence…

it don’t hardly seem possible…

It don’t hardly seem possible, but I’ve done everything on my get-ready list, and I am prepared to go to ComicCon. I’ve added a reading on Sunday at 12:30 in Room 24A, where the California Browncoats are generously inviting Whedon-friendly writers to come in and read a bit of their own work. making a list, checking it twice

/Ted made an OMG good dinner last night. I allowed as how I was going to keep him for at least *two* more weeks (since I’ll be gone for a week, I better keep him for two so I can take advantage, you know). Except in July and August, when they do day passes because the students are gone. Ted…

movies & metrics

Ted and I went to see “Street Kings” today, which was not only a surprisingly good movie, but Keanu Reeves was surprisingly good *in* it. There were only a couple of “whoa” or “dude” kinds of moments, and one of them was very nearly on purpose, I think. I’d say that was hands down the best Reeves movie I’ve ever seen, and hell, I /like/ him. (Generally I think he’s actually a hell of a physical actor, which is why he did so well in the Matrix movies: they didn’t…
