I’ve been saying for ages that when I quit my day job, I was going to do things like organize all the family photos, and get them scanned in and make photo albums and stuff. So I’m GOING TO! Muahahahahah! Soon there will be a maloneclan.org coming your way! Muahahahah!
Okay, most of you probably don’t care one whit about that, but that’s okay. *I’m* happy about it. :) And really, I figure if I manage to spend a few hours a week on it, I’ll be very pleased. I need to update my Thinks To Do list. *hop hop hop* :)
With one notable exception, I absolutely loved my extended unemployment. Got tons of stuff done, all while getting enough sleep in the process! I really don’t understand these people who say they ‘have to work’ or they’ll go crazy – how hard is it to find stuff to do on your own?
(Then again, maybe it’s that I’m just already crazy.)
The paycheck is nice, but sometimes I think about finding a nice girl, letting her work, and staying home taking care of kids. Sounds like a worthwhile life to me.
Well, *I* don’t anticipate having any trouble finding things to do! I mean, I might eventually run out of stuff…but I doubt it. :) I’ve got to finish my shelves and get the photos organized and write books and all SORTS of things! Take guitar lessons, maybe, and maybe buy a Real digital camera soemtime so I can get back into photography, and and and!
The hard part of being unemployed is when you’re unemployed and the financial resources have, or are about to, run out…..That’s when it stops being fun and interesting. If I had the financial wherewithal, I could be happily unemployed for an eternity…
