Look what happens when I get up early: I write 6400 words. Ted and I keep getting up later and later and I get visibly less accomplished the later I get up, so last night he set the alarm for 6am. This is horrible, but I actually frequently wake up around a quarter to six anyway, so it wasn’t really that traumatizing. So I got revision notes on THE PRETENDER’S CROWN from my agent, the estimable /Jennifer Jackson a couple of days ago. I rewrote two half-chapters and think I’ve gotten the book back on track. The next few chapters will be all-new, with lots of action and a character who hasn’t been seen in a while (nevermind that nobody from the Walker Papers has been seen in a while, since it’s TWO YEARS since I’ve written one!), and … well, we’ll see where it goes tomorrow, I guess.
