thank GOD

I have just hit the downward slope on revisions, at least mentally. I’m very slightly over halfway through the book and am starting to be able to add old stuff back in, although it’s still going to take a lot of revising to make it all fit. Still, the prospect of having *much* of the basic work in place (despite everything that needs to be added) for the second half of the book is a huge, huge relief. Now I just have to find a place to live. o.O

how to focus

From the wit and wisdom that is Neil Gaiman’s journal, this morning I bring you his commentary about deadlines and how to focus: The best suggestion I can make is to stop doing other things. Turn off the computer, or take a laptop somewhere they don’t have wireless. Don’t play solitaire or bring a mobile phone. Then write. Up: one of the guys at the OxFam shop turns out to be a real comic book geek. We had a good time talking today. There were 7 of us on, and about, oh, 7 customers all morning. spider-man, audio books, rewrites, oh my!

Audible.com has COYOTE DREAMS in! The books must be doing pretty well in audio format, because this is *way* faster than either of the other two were released.
