oh good

Oh good, my homepage is back up. Let’s see, what to say since last I wrote? I got up v. late this morning and am still sort of trying to recover from that. I need to shower and drink water, not necessarily in that order. My vegetable beef soup turned out really yummy. So did the pumpkin pie I made. Today I shall make shepherd’s pie, and that oughta take up the rest of the rib roast that we had for Christmas. It may very well feed us for the…

sleepy

Sleepy me, although I didn’t get up until 9:30. Lazy me! We went to Paycheck this morning. It wasn’t very good. :) Much more a Ben Affleck movie than a John Woo movie, sadly. (The gel between the berries should be thick and transluscent. If you think it might not be thick yet, it isn’t.) Allow to cool. (Expedient manner: spread wax paper on a cookie sheet and spread the filling over…

myohmyohmy

My oh my oh my, what a nice day it’s been. Mom and Dad came over around 10:30 for breakfast. Ted made waffles which were very good, and we used some of my peach and strawberry syrups (jams which’d failed) as well as regular syrup, and mmm yummy. After that, an orgy of gifts. There was a great deal of cleaning up done, including a long bread-loaf pan which I’d been coveting, X2, The Lion King, a jillion or so books, *four* CDs, new small cereal-sized bowls, a sports-sized MP3…
