Somebody just pointed out something I’d forgotten I’d written at the end of FIREBIRD DECEPTION which is in direct contrast to something I’ve written in PHOENIX LAW. I can probably fix it with a few sentences, but boy, right now I’m thinking of Joss Whedon’s, “Consistency in your universe is God. All must bow before it–unless you happen to think of something really, really cool,” as the way to deal with internal consistency in your world. :)
Writing is hard!
At least you found it out now and not before it went into print!
My copy of FD showed up yesterday–yay!
Yay for not having some snotty jerk being able to corner you at a signing and call you on it!
I’m way too careless to handle consistency. I’ll totally need to write some clever excuse into anything I produce so it’ll look intentional.
