I have just ordered a $500 keyboard. Shortly, I will buy a wall-mounted monitor arm and a flat screen monitor (although not in that order, because I need to make sure the monitor has the right kind of back so it’ll fit in the mounting). Then I will get a new chair and a footrest and bat my eyelashes at Ted to clean up one of the old eMachines and I will entirely rebuild my Book Nook so it is Ergonomically Appropriate for Kits. That’s my plan for this weekend.
Which means that at the completion of OPERATION: CARDINAL, after five years, seven books, and many, many partials, Little will be retired as my main writing computer.
WAH!
Sorry to be so helpful. :)
(So, I notice in your ‘thinks to do’ list that it looks like you’re going to Writer’s Weekend after all?)
Also, I continue to enjoy your X-Men quotes. In case you can’t see the one i’m seeing:
“Sometimes I long for the days when your report cards could be used as blackmail.” –Xavier to the X-Men
*giggle* Actually, I’m really pleased. I think the nook will be very cool and much, much better for me physically when I’m done with it!
Yup, I’m planning on going to WW! Will you be going? *hopeful look*!
Glad you like hte quotes! Hee. I enjoy them too. :)
Laser Mouse.
Bluetooth.
Mmm.
This one may not be the same thing, but I think it is, and it is cheaper.

Okay, I just noticed “learn Italian” in your thinks to do list. Italian? *quizzical look*
And a $500 keyboard! Ye gods!
Melissa: is not the same, sadly. The way my nook is built I need a lot of rotating ability for the screen, and the one you found lacks a second pivot point like the one I found has got. But it’s ok, because I’m prepared to $pend in order to make a good Nook. :)
Laura: Ted’s and my plan to go to Ireland in March got replaced with a plan to go to Italy in May so he can do a week-long Italian cooking seminar. I, OTOH, plan to go hiking. So I figured a smattering of Italian would stand me well. :)
Also, yeah. But it’s a REALLY COOL keyboard!
Ah! It’s all clear now! We found that having even a leeeetle bit of French helped a lot when we were hiking in France, so you’re probably correct in your assessment.
If you want to visit and Ted wants to cook for me after his Italian cooking seminar, I’d be happy to let you. ;-)

After the Drama ™ that occured with Sarah late last summer/early fall and the change of venue, etc…I don’t know anymore. :/
I’m still keeping the option open but I’m not longer as keen on it. Especially with trips back East planned to see my father and attend my brother’s probable wedding this year.
