page from angie’s book

A page from Angie’s book, keeping myself honest. I used to do this on my now-defunct gym page, so not a bad thing.

    workout:

  • 100 crunches
  • bicep curls: 10lbs, 2 sets of 15, 1 of 12.
  • bench press: 40lbs, 3 sets of 12 or 15, I forgot already
  • butterfly press, 40lbs, 3 sets of 15 (should do 50lbs next time)
  • lat pull-downs: 50lbs, 3 sets of 15 (couldn’t handle 60lbs, drat)
  • shoulder press: 20lbs, 3 sets of 15 (I think)
  • walked a mile or something. halfway home, anyway

Now I need to go shower and figure out what to do with the dog and go have coffee with my Dad and talk about OYL. *spaaaz*

  1. Woo, you go! You have a much more powerful chest than I, I can’t do nearly as much on the chest and butterfly press.

I need to find time to do crunches; I don’t want to at the gym, generally, because I’m usually rushing to some evening activity, but then I never manage to do them at home. Maybe I’ll get up 20 minutes earlier in the morning, or something. I found this great set of crunches awhile back, working different areas of the abs, and would like to integrate that, I think.

  2. Well, I have bigger boobs than you do, too. Maybe there’s a correlation. *laugh*

I actually really adore the bench press and butterfly press, so maybe I push myself harder on those or something. And the thing about crunches is that you can do them in about five or seven minutes if you don’t screw around. Do ’em at the gym: make five minutes for yourself and do ’em. I said so. :)

  3. Sir, yes sir! (Ma’am, yes ma’am! doesn’t sound quite right)

But you’re right, I should be able to do them quickly. I’m just not sure I want my bulk to be writhing on the floor in full view of all these people, and there’s not that much floorspace. And I want to figure out all these wacky things from the magazine, which I need the magazine for, and I’ll feel dorky peering at it there.

But. I’ll figure something out; maybe start doing stuff at home, see how long it takes me, and then switch to at the gym. Though if I do them every morning, that’s actually every morning, instead of just three days a week. And my belly needs an awful lot of whittling.

And I’m not _actually_ half your height, no matter what Trip says. ^_^
