I’ve just put a deposit down on new digs to rent. It’s closer to my parents’ than our current place, right next to a park and to the Botanic Gardens, and has a small back yard for Young Indiana to play in. It’s a little farther away from the main road where Ted catches his bus, but we’re planning to get a car as soon as we can, so that won’t be too much of a bother. There’s a maintained forest in Cobh, Marlogue (Marlow) Wood. Scattered throughout it are small ruins, houses that have been taken back by the wood. This is my favorite shot I took of one, a hearth that appears in remarkably good condition, given that everything around it has largely disappeared.
A few-second, maybe 10-second, exposure, taken while balancing the camera on top of a post because I didn’t have a tripod and was apparently bored with just snapping shots of passers-by. Mostly I like the color in this.
I’ve written about 3400 words today. Unfortunately, the first 900 were the Wrong Words, so although I’ve written that many, only 2500 of them count. This is kind of too bad, because 3400 would put me only one day behind my self-imposed Nanowrimo (Junowrimo), but since 2500 is more than I’ve written in months, I’ll take it. Sound off!
