Picoreview: the Silver Surfer is worth the price of admission, especially if you go to a cheap show, as we did. But _man_ those were some cool effects. That was exactly what the Surfer should look (and sound) like. Rawr. Other than that, better than the first movie (and shorter), still not a great movie (though it would’ve been improved by not putting poor Jessica Alba in those awful, awful contacts and that awful, awful wig) but I enjoyed it, and did I mention Silver Surfer = rawr? ’cause, rawr.…

Yesterday, in case you missed it, was Blog Like It’s The Zombie Apocalypse Day. thought my entry would look like this: “Zombies attacked. Finished the #*$&^#^ book and got light revision letter for TQB. Good day.” I think she’s basically got it right. :) That was not at all what I was going to post about, but I got such a kick out of it it trumped everything else I’d been going to say. :) Most critically (as I’m sure you’ll all agree), I have gotten my hairs trimmed, and…

has won herself a book of mine of her choice with I HAS LOLCAST for the Zilli-macro-caption-contest. It made me laugh out loud, so that’s a winner. :) and get honorable mentions for _actually making macro images_, and and made me giggle a lot with their entries, too. Oh hey. I…

I’m using Word 2000 on a … good grief, I’d forgotten this operating system even existed. On WinME. I have since re-opened and re-named the file, and, in fact, rebooted the computer. Am I utterly hosed, or is there some way for me to make an attempt to find my missing pages? (eta: I did check the…

I gritted my teeth and read the QUEEN’S BASTARD revision letter this morning. Forecast for sulk has been rescinded and the remainder of the week looks clear and cheerful. It is a _wonderfully_ minor letter. She’s got about four general points and then three pages of page-specific detaily things which are all good things to fix but none of them are in any wise *difficult* to fix. After the last eight weeks of Revision Hell, I cannot *tell* you how relieved I am about this. miles to Minas Tirith: 176…
