We’ve outsmarted the dog, and it only took us three days. She’s been climbing over the kiddie gate since about two days after we got it (and quite handily, I might add; we watched her do it this afternoon), but cleverly, we thought to put the two tall stool/chairs we have for the kitchen bar in _front_ of the kiddie gate, and she couldn’t climb over all of it. That should stop her for a couple weeks, anyway.
The new stove is very new and white and large!
