She was looking kinda dumb

With her finger and her thumb

In the shape of an L on her forehead!

I actually woke up with that song in my head, or rather, it placed itself in my head very promptly, which was good because it’s the first song on my workout CD (well, actually, it’s the second, but the first one won’t play) and so it put me in the proper mood to go work out. Sort of. Anyway, I managed to go work out, at least. :) And now I must tell you, a bowl of oatmeal is just a sad little cry for help in the raging hunger of my tummy. :)

  • crunches: 150
  • bench press: 50lbs, 3 sets of 12, I think. Maybe 2 sets of 15 and 1 of 12 or maybe 3 sets of 15. Something like that.
  • butterfly press: 60lbs, 3 sets of 12 or 15, again with the forgetting
  • shoulder press: 20lbs, 3 sets of 15 … or maybe one of 12.
  • bicep curls: 10lbs, 3 sets of 15
  • tricep extensions: 10lbs, 3 sets of 15
  • lat pulldown: 50lbs, 3 sets of 15
  • walked most of the way home: 1.5 miles or so?

I just realized I failed to do any more crunches at the end of my workout. Oops. Also, when I got home, Chantico had escaped her kitchen prison, so we went for a walk at the end of my walk. :) And I crossed at the school crossing (we live right next to an elementary school) and the cross-guard held the STOP sign up for me so I could cross the street safely. *beam*

I let Chanti bring a stick in from outside becuase it’s soooooooo much easier to let her have a stick than to try to keep her entertained myself. This is how people end up with spoiled teenagers, isn’t it? But she’s awfully happy with the stick . . . and there is dead tree bark all over the floor now. I need to … shower. Yes, but what I meant to say was vacuum.

  1. Why not try a rawhide bone? My sister played with her dog with a (I kid you not) stuffed hedgehog and it became the defacto “pull-game” toy. Kept the dog away from demanding sticks, at least.

  2. She gets bored with them. :) Her mouth isn’t big enough for the larger ones and she chews smaller ones incessantly, actually, but when she goes outside she finds sticks and I let her bring this one in because she’s been playing with it for two or three days. I think she likes the different flavor/texture.
