I just got the rough cover for DEMON HUNTS, book five of the Walker Papers, due out in June 2010 (and book four is out in three weeks! Yay!). ZOMG. I wish I could show this off to you right now, because it’s going to be amazing. Wow. Wow! Yay! I believe I have a new favorite cover! Holy crap, speaking of covers, I just saw the cover to the twelfth Dresden Files novel. Holy *crap*. If you’ve been paying any attention, the Dresden Files always have two word titles,…

Cherie Priest silent auction
Sadly, despite my misleading blog title, Cherie Priest is not up for auction. It’s just as well; I doubt many of us could afford a Steampunk Goddess of our own. She is, though, running a silent auction as a fundraiser for a friend of hers who’s had a run of insanely bad luck. She’s got a bunch of rare, hard-to-find, or not-yet-out books of hers up for auction, and is taking bids via email. There’s also a direct donation button if you feel moved to just send a few bucks…
Non-Con!
Ted and I went into Dublin today to see Paul Cornell, who was in to Dublin for the day to do a signing at Sub City Comics. Getting off the train, we discovered we were walking alongside Brian S. from P-Con, to whom I said, “Brian. Brian! I mean, who would I know in the train station getting off the train from Sligo?”), and…
I need…

I have all these great dessert cookbooks (Mrs Fields’ I LOVE CHOCOLATE Cookbook, a cheesecake cookbook, an ice cream recipe book…) and no reason to make any of the desserts in them. There are a hundred recipes in the Mrs Fields book. It could take years to go through just /that/ one. But the desserts are mostly too extravagant to make just for two people, and they’re *all* too *large* for just a…
Kit’s Very Busy Day
I got up at 7:something, and by 8:20 I’d showered, cleaned the kitchen, fed the cats, and made a grocery list. By half eleven I’d made pancakes, gone shopping, and gotten started on the hellish site redesign that’s going to take days if not weeks of time. In between beating my head on the redesign wall, I entertained myself by making icons from ‘s Star Trek parody. There are SO MANY MORE I want to do, but this will do for a start. All text (excepting “adorkable”) thanks to Sarah…
