eclectic entry

Going to London has utterly thrown off my sense of time. I’m fairly convinced it’s Tuesday. *Next* Tuesday. o.O London was fun. I sold a few books and met several LJers, which was really wonderful. *beams* *waves to you all and makes noises of profound gratitude that you came*! I was also stalked by /Sarah Brennan, whose copy of HANDS OF FLAME says “Stop following me!” The next one will say, “I mean it, or I’m calling the garda!” and the one after that will say “That’s it, I’m getting…

Apparently the manner in which Zilli is leaned up against me causes him, from the angle at which Ted is sitting, to appear to be a thalidomide kitty. Ted would not let me take a picture of the thalidomide kitty and post it. He said that was tasteless. :) I wrote a short story last night! Now I just need to do that four more times. :) The weather did not betray us. Yesterday was surprisingly lovely, and so far today it is not raining. We are profoundly grateful. I’m…

comparatively early-morning drive-by update

It’s nice out! It won’t last, and in fact was miserable when we walked to the gym three hours ago, but it’s nice out now! And I am happy! We went grocery shopping this morning. Ted said this was normal “weekend” behavior. I find participating in typical human rituals fascinating… We went into Dublin briefly yesterday. While having lunch, we saw James Cromwell. At least, I did. Ted is quite certain…

sort of busy, I guess

I guess it’s been a sort of busy day. I swam and wrote helped clean the kitchen and worked up a messy little synopsis for a graphic novel project (because I don’t write enough). I said to /Ursula earlier today that I didn’t think I quite understood what a vacation was. She said, “Isn’t that where the Pope lives?” Just so. :) Maybe I wasn’t that busy. I don’t seem to have very much to talk about, anyway. Anybody, she asked vaguely, know what material the (Tenth) Doctor’s coat is…
