Apparently my life is sufficently boring that I can’t think of anything to blog about. I have to draw winners for the BYD contest, but since I already blew my first deadline on that and there’s a long weekend coming up in America, I think I’ll wait until next week. In the meantime, random things: I believe this is very much the sort of thing the phrase “Oh, snap!” was invented for: Back to back questions presented to Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson. *laughs* My wallet died, so I…

Kickstarter Tuesday
I believe I shall declare the 3rd Tuesday of any given month Kickstarter Tuesday, so I can mention all the cool projects I’ve seen lately all at once and not feel like I’m spamming everybody with an OMG LOOKY COOL NEW KICKSTARTER! every few days. So! Still in Progress: The incredible Judith Tarr’s young adult novel revisions project, LIVING IN THREES. It’s crossed $4K and is heading toward $4500, at which number she starts offering up classes advice discussions about world-building techniques. I expect that to be worth the price…
Kickstarting & Other Good Stuff!
My since-forever-ago writing partner & dear friend SL Gray is running a Kickstarter! I have also recently donated one of the newer Gryphon Beach stories to a fundraiser campaign for a little girl named Gwen whose move to a new school put her and her…
P-Con IX Report!
Somewhere along the line Ted and I developed enough opinions about P-Con that this year we ended up on the committee to help run it. In fact, apparently I ended up the Co-Chair on the committee, which I discovered on Saturday morning when Pádraig introduced me as such. :) This year’s P-Con was the first run in association with the Irish Writers’ Centre, where the con was held. We had NO IDEA how that was going to be recieved, because normally cons are held at hotels and normally there’s a…
speaking of crowdfunding…
I’m up for a crowdfunding award this year, for “No Dominion”. My lovely patrons said it was okay for me to post one of the short stories I’ve written as proof of fiction committed for “No Dominion”, so “Forgotten But By A Few is” available here, and the first couple chapters of URBAN SHAMAN, from Gary’s point of view, are here. The voting page is located here. I’ve been nominated a few years running now, and, well, I’d really kinda like to win, actually, so if the spirit moves you,…
