Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We’ve had a lovely day out. It is in fact a lovely day, which is unusual, and we went to the Longford parade, as did everyone else in the town. It was a *much* longer parade than I expected, and parts of it were pretty good. Yer man standing next to me said to his wife, “It’s a fair grand parade, isn’t it?” and she said, “It is, much better than last year, but everyone’s got more free time so,” which made me laugh and laugh and *laugh*. :) I…

Apparently there’s trad music at Keogh’s on Wednesday and Fridays at 10pm, and at Tally Ho on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. I am not very good at being Irish. It’s 10:30 and I’m going to *bed*. The idea of leaving the house at a quarter to ten for music is just bizarre. ytd wordcount: 63,200 miles to Minas Tirith: 63.4

The crash I was waiting for yesterday arrived today. I was SO TIRED. And so now I give up. I need to write 5500 words a day to (theoretically) complete this novel the day before I leave for ComicCon. Yesterday I ended up with a bonus 900 words, reducing today’s necessary count to 4600, but I’ve only managed 4100, and I’m going to leave it at that. Normal people consider 4100 words a stellar day. I, in fact, consider it to be pretty decent, overlooking the part where it’s not…

bloody hell

Bloody hell, I’m tired. I’m sure it’s a combination of having stepped my exercise up from nothing* to Quite A Lot over the last two weeks, and simply sleeping less because it’s lighter out and so I wake up earlier. But damn, I’m *tired*. I may try giving myself a day off from exercise tomorrow, although that’s hard to do, because once I’ve got a goal in mind (current goal: walk 6 miles a day. average achieved goal over the last 2 weeks: 5.75 miles a day.) it’s very hard…

I decided last night that I was going to the gym this morning, but this morning I couldn’t find my gym pass, so I went for a walk instead. On the way back, I saw a little black kitten, maybe 4 months old or so, in one of the parks. Ted and I had seen him on Monday, and were concerned about him, but weren’t sure if *maybe* he belonged to somebody, although he certainly didn’t look like he did. But we had no way of capturing him at the…
