I have rapidly deduced that the problem with the bicycle is that it will cut into my Walk to Rivendell quite dramatically. I’m going to have to put some actual effort into going out for a daily walk, and I’m not likely to get anywhere near the 10K steps one is ‘supposed’ to manage. OTOH, I swam yesterday and today too, which has to go in the plus column for the bike. I am beating my head against revisions. At some point one of us will emerge bloody and victorious,…

1217 things to do
Things are getting out of hand. Somehow about 1217 things to do have piled up and I’m having a hard time remembering them all, much less doing them. I’m considering not writing this morning and just doing the word wars this afternoon, so I have time to get some of this crap done. :p – do pilates – email dixon – email house lady – magical words posting – work on arts council app – answer interview questions – get the auction stuff together – see if i can get…
a day in dublin
Poor Ted had a migraine yesterday (and Friday; I hope it’s defeated today), so he didn’t go with me in to Dublin to see John & Leah et all. I mean, not only could I not work in that, but stepping inside it made me actively uncomfortable. However, John, peering in the window at the utter disaster, said to…
tipping point
I’m aiming for 3K a day writing, but I’ve been doing (thanks to word wars) more like 3500. Which isn’t a lot more, but it adds up to an extra chapter a week, so if I continue with it, that’ll cut an entire week off the writing time for the book. Anyway, I’m almost at the tipping point–I’ve gotten 2/3rds of an extra chapter written so far, and while I probably won’t actually roll over into the sixth chapter until Friday, the fact that I’m on the cusp is sort…
:p
I am not swimming this morning, because not only does my shoulder hurt, but I got a stiff neck while sleeping, presumably because I was in some way trying to compensate for the achy shoulder. *sigh* And the pool’s closed tomorrow because it’s St. Patrick’s Day. So I guess I’ll do Pilates today and try to go for a longish walk. And maybe try to buy a new pedometer. *sigh* many thinks to do: – make bread – do pilates – count de money (de monet, de monet!) – maybe…
