Word wars for the win today! I was up early and got 2500 words written before noon, and then had an unexpectedly good word war afternoon and did another 1800, for a total of 4300 words today! *boogies* That puts me at 189 pages, so I should reach my goal of 200 pages tomorrow without much trouble. We might go watch a bad movie tonight. *cheerful* :) ytd wordcount: 119,600 miles to Minas Tirith: 183.5

word war
up and running here. it will run until i’m finished with today’s chapter, which is possibly an hour’s worth of work. god, i hope somebody joins me. o.o rules: the point is to write rather than chat. writing takes place in 30-45 minute bursts, after which we report our wordcount, then take a short break. everybody’s welcome.

I’m still in the sweatshirt and floppy pants I put on this morning, but I did write 3400 words, walk 3 miles and swim. And my shoulder, which ached this morning, seems to have settled down, which is good. I think there’s something distinctly good to be said for getting up and writing, then going to the gym mid-day and coming back again to write after…
word war room
A word war chat room window is now open. It’s what, about 9:30am Eastern time now. I figure I’ll be around for about 3 hours. If, in the long term, this seems to work, maybe I’ll see about setting something up permanently. To war! eta: chat now closed as of noon EDT
