argghglt!

Arghglgg. 3600 words today, which I thought was enough, but it puts me at 149,900 words for the year! Argh! But Nook’s already shut down, so I guess I’ll just have to break 150K first thing tomorrow and carry on. I did pass the 2/3rds mark, which is nice. And broke 300 pages. Swam a measly 500 meters this morning, which is not in my estimation worth getting wet for, but I’m trying not to re-injure my shoulder (which, miraculously, has improved *hugely* since I went back to typing at…

a day in dublin

Poor Ted had a migraine yesterday (and Friday; I hope it’s defeated today), so he didn’t go with me in to Dublin to see John & Leah et all. I had a lovely lunch with themselves and Pádraig and Deirdre (Pádraig hauled us all into the Dublin City Gallery to show us Francis Bacon’s reconstructed studio, which was a nightmare. wet. droopy. amused.

Ted and I went out for a walk in reasonably fine weather and in short order got pelted by ice-cold rain and a vicious wind. It was miserable enough to be funny. We spent the rest of the day in our jammies being nuggly and warm, because man, that was cold! Good writing day today.
