trying to plan

things I need to bring to Pi-Con:

excerpt from HoS to read
excerpts from TQB and CB, just in case nobody wants to hear anything from HoS
– toothbrush
– the Dana
– probably not a camera, piffle

Oh my, such excitement. Men just turned up with a double bed for us, so now we’ve got a double and two singles in the bedroom, which is more bed than most people need, and another two singles stacked downstairs in the spare bedroom. Hopefully there will be arrangements made this afternoon to remove all the extraneous beds. In the meantime, however, I’ll do laundry and maybe bake some bread so my poor abandoned husand can at least make sandwiches while I’m gone….

  1. One of the constant amusements about being a gay man in the ’70s was that hoteliers really hadn’t figured out how to handle two men checking into the same room. It was a total toss-up, whether you got a double bed or two singles – but there was the one joyous night when self and beloved got a room with one double and two singles. Three beds! We were only there for a night, but we, uh, felt obliged to use all three of ’em, y’know…?

  2. You got men with your beds?….Mine is due to arrive thursday, I wonder if it comes with a man or two. It woudl be cool if it did.

  3. My friend Oaken is going to be at Pi-Con. I told him (Well, Tersa got there, first, but I said it, too) that he should find you! So, now I’m telling you that you should find him!

    Also – Yay! Bed!
And, if I hurry on over, would you read from TQB?

  4. mine too. And I wasn’t even there when they arrived (so tempting to say I wasn’t there when they came…)

  5. Oh, man, he said hi, but I don’t think I talked to him more than the “hi”! Agh! Bad me!
