1000drawings
4.19.02
I'm starting a new art project, 1000drawings.
The point here isn't so much to create works of genius as it is to do a whole lot of relatively quick drawings of the same model, and try to improve on each sketch until the final one is, well, good. :) I figure it'll actually take several thousand for me to get /good/, but you have to start somewhere. I'm working in ink, 'cause, well, I like it.
Xena (Lucy Lawless)
4.19.02: 3 of 6 or 7 done now. #1 had the leading with
the hips right, but was veeeeeery rough. #2 utterly failed to get the
leading with the hips or the head angle right, and the arms are hideously
wooden. #3's arms are still screwed up, but the head angle is right and
there's some hip action going on. We'll see what happens next. :)
4.21.02: #4's point was to work on the arms, which are
still screwed up; the upper arm is too long on the left arm, and the
angle of the right was wrong. The second sketch of it off to the right is
better.
4.22.02: Drew the arms from the inside on #4. Worked better. 'course, the appropriately drawn arms (circled) are nowhere near the body of the drawing, but I'll try again on the next sketch.
