We missed the eclipse, but I saw the Man in the Moon for the first time in my whole life, so that was pretty keen!
It finally stopped raining/greying/being awful today, and so I took Chanti on a walk, which I hadn’t done for three whole days (bad human) and we walked *five* miles. She was exhausted. Hee hee hee. :)
miles to Rivendell: 324.5
Okay, 2 questions come leaping to mind:
1. How did you not see the eclipse but see the man in the moon? Obviously it wasn’t cloudy…were you just out at the wrong time?
2. How have you not seen the man in the moon before? Have you not had it pointed out? Did you not know it existed? Have you never looked at the moon? Or is this just the first time your brain registered the face?
I thought the eclipse was later than it was, and when we were out and about at the right time, from where we were, the clouds were hiding the moon. I /did/ look for it.
I’ve never been able to see the man in the moon. I’ve been looking my whole life. I just couldn’t see him.
He’s sneaky, that one. :)
It’s funny, but the moon’s looks different in the southern hemisphere. When I was down in Oz, it really didn’t look like there was a man in the moon at all. :P
