rivendell!

Heather’s access to her LJ has become wonky, so I’m keeping track of her Rivendell miles here again for a while. Perhaps this will spur me to get some of my own damned Rivendell miles in–although today’s bad (guests tonight), and tomorrow’s not looking good either (Dean Meetup). Good news: I got up at about 5:15 to write. Bad news: I got my new ch. 8 started and realized I just plain didn’t have enough idea of where Jo was working out of to write what I now need to write. jam, day 2!

Strawberry jam accomplished! Rather a lot of it, in fact. We’ll see in the morning if it’s set up. :) Tomorrow I must also do laundry, because the poor dishtowels are drowning in jam at this point. *laugh* Blueberry jam tomorrow! Raspberry jam the day after that! And then *drumroll* peach jam! Yaaaaaay! Oooh, I wrote a couple of pages with the glass pen. It’s *really* *cool*! It even handles my signature surprisingly well, which pleased me! Water. I need water.

Weird. I’ve just made a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and I did not eat any of the cookie dough. Possibly for the first time in my entire life. Now that the cookies are done (and it’s a *perfect* batch)… I don’t actually want any. Apparently this spontaneous diet thing is not to be messed with. It’s sort of interesting. My mental dialogs have been going something like, “Wow, that smells good.” “So? I’m not hungry.” “…oh.”
