oh, *man*!

Okay, the *disadvantage* of getting ARCs is that I have to wait That Much Longer to find out what happens next, and OMG the end of EMPIRE OF IVORY is EEEEE! Cliffhanger! And that is all I can say, except hoo *boy* do you want to buy this book the day it comes out. :) I’m going to go read another book now. Reading is fun! *beams*

random things

I’ve somehow been plodding through bits of … work-related things … (and hundreds of LJ posts) instead of reading either CIVIL WAR or EMPIRE OF IVORY. Guess I’ll read those in the morning. But as I’ve been plodding, I’ve remembered a bunch of detaily cool things that are pretty much totally not con related that I’m going to … make a list of. o.o Cool Things: – On the way home, at the JFK international terminal, I found two copies of COYOTE DREAMS in the ‘music & books’ bookshop. unexpectedly wonderful day

Ted, who is really an incredibly wonderful husband, got up at 6am and drove to Shannon this morning to collect me. I had no expectation of this at all, and am inexpressably happy that he did so. I know what I’m reading on the plane tonight. :) Also: OMG. The foreign translations of Naomi’s books look so awesome. The Korean one is *gorgeous*. So jealous! But not really. I…

So Delta is now putting me up at a hotel, and I’m on the same flight tomorrow night, so I won’t get home until Tuesday. This is the second time in a row that, after a con, I’ve ended up stuck in a city for 24 hours. I think perhaps in the…
