Eep! Got the copy edits for URBAN SHAMAN. I haven’t looked at them yet, but I’ll need to tomorrow, ’cause they want ’em back in New York by the 8th. (Publishing: a hurry up and wait business. FINALLY all the October books I wanted were out, so we went forth to have a bookstore accident. We failed. I mean, okay, strictly speaking it’s not an accident if you go in intending to spend a lot of money, but when you don’t spend even a hundred dollars, you’ve had a whole different *kind* of bookstore accident.
