Young Indiana and I went to see Home, which was a sweet little film. It’s also the first animated film I can think of since Prince of Egypt where white people were only incidental background characters instead of the homogeny, which was great. Today is Mother’s Day in Ireland. I have been greeted with a lie-in, a homemade card, and waffles with strawberries, which is a pretty nice start to the day. I was gonna go see Insurgent, except it doesn’t start until next week. Darn it. Maybe I can…

falling behind!
I’m falling behind on my Recent Reads and film commentary stuff. Suffice it to say we just got to s3e9 of Person of Interest and they could probably hear our scream of agony in Australia. And I’m not speaking in the royal We, I’m speaking of me and Ted both shrieking “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” at the television. A friend of mine says she’d read spoilers and that she will not go beyond s3e8. This is not necessarily a bad solution. #heartbreak I went to see Jupiter Ascending a second time, and liked…
nap time
I had to wait for a parcel delivery this morning, so after bringing Young Indiana to school I came home and–in a fit of craziness–sacked out on the couch for a nap. minutia
We finished up s9 Supernatural last night, although the urgency of watching s10 has been alleviated due to the news that they’ve renewed for an 11th season. I still want to get through to the 200th episode before I get spoiled for it, as I have managed (for once) to be spoiler-free thus far. (Note: never ever allow Sarah Rees Brennan to talk about a TV show you’re both watching but you’re behind on. She’s spoiled me TWICE for The 100, and also for another thing but I can’t remember…
in sickness & in writing
Yesterday my child, who had been a grumpy cuddlebutt for ages, climbed into my lap and suddenly went to sleep. And after a 90 minute nap, woke up, and went to bed at the usual time and slept for almost 12 solid hours, which never happens. Still ain’t well around here, sez I. Other than that…not much. :) I’m re-reading MAGIC & MANNERS in order to start writing on it again, and–faintly to my surprise–it’s charming. I don’t know why I’m always faintly surprised when I read something I wrote…
