housecleaning

I do not understand how I can simultaneously want to GET RID OF CRAP and yet still have such attachment to much of said crap. Ted and I both gave up cleaning at the same time, having apparently reached some level of existential despair about the entire matter. We’ve made great progress, but we’ve gone past the point where it seems like it should all be DONE NOW THANK YOU and it’s not, so: existential despair. And just to be annoying, my e-reader seems to have gone on the fritz.…

hrm.

Having gotten my office sorted, I need to figure out what to do with the greenhouse I’ve built for my orange tree. It turned out larger than I expected, so it doesn’t fit as nicely on a corner of my desk as I thought it would, which means basically it takes up the Entire Desk. Afterward she almost forgave me, except she doesn’t like Tom Cruise and the movie made her like him and that was pretty unforgiveable. :) I have made headway into cleaning my office. So far I’ve gotten all the Christmas wrapping paper out of there, which was a big improvement all by itself. I also cleared one bookshelf entirely of crap, which…

a day of a thousand cookies

Okay, probably not a thousand, but I’m doing an awful lot of baking over the next couple days, in preparation for P-Con! It’s being held at the Irish Writers’ Centre this year, which is awesome in all ways except it does lack a bar/food court, so I’m making around a zillion treats and will put them up with a donate button sign. I can’t decide if I should make more smaller cookies, or fewer larger ones (more larger ones is not an option), and I can’t figure out what price…
