I was up very, very early recently to go across the country for a PT session (that’s a totally normal thing to do), and there was a lovely sunrise going on a bit after I got on the train. My phone, which turns to greyscale at 10pm and stays that way until 7am to remind me to sleep, was still IN greyscale when I snapped this shot through the speeding train window, so I really had no idea if it had turned out nicely or not for another, like, 90…

Dublin Driver Photography
I promised that I’d post pictures of Dublin to go along with the Dublin Driver books, so here are a few! DEAD IN DUBLIN In Dublin’s fair city, where the girls are so pretty, murder occurs at the feet of sweet Molly Malone . . . Ferrying tourists around Dublin for the Leprechaun Limo Service makes quite a change after years in the military. Still, Megan Malone is enjoying her life in Ireland. She likes the scenery, the easy pace, the quirky, quick-witted locals. Everything—except having one of her clients…
a busy bank holiday weekend
Young Indiana and I had a positively splendid, utterly exhausting bank holiday weekend while Ted was off gaming. Saturday we defied the not-running trains to go to the zoo (a thing we would not have done if I’d known the trains weren’t running, but I didn’t find out until we got to the train station, at which point a bus was available, so…we went. Later than we intended, but we went.) We had breakfast out and went to the zoo and the lions were in fine form & I got…
easter holidays
Indy’s on Easter holidays, which is 2 weeks off, and I’ve basically been convinced it’s the weekend since the 8th of April. I suppose I’ll get back in the swing of things when school starts up again, but this bodes ill for my brain over summer vacation. We went down to Fota Island for a day, and I took some pictures. Indy was thrilled beyond comprehension to…
Kitsnaps: Baloo
Except this is not a Kitsnaps. This is a picture taken by Young Indiana, who is captivated by my big camera and asked, “Mama, can *I* try some pfa..fopa…forpar…far-tography?” I think “‘far’tography” is the most wonderful word in the world, and will be featuring Indy’s far-tography from time to time on Kitsnaps. What a darling kid.
