actually fairly productive

It turned out to be a pretty productive day, in the end. I got half the sub-plot written in, and another 12 or 13 pages on the manuscript will actually get it up to the page count it’s contracted for. That’d be nice, although I’m not so far off that it’s really critical. Should finish tomorrow. Oh! Seattle people! What kind of neighborhood is Ballard these days? Still industrial or has it poshed up? I continue to be a great big dork and every time I read about election stuff…

very slow start

I’m off to a very slow start today. I slept badly, having dreams about the election what certainly seemed like all bloody night long, only interrupted when I got up to go to the bathroom, came back to bed, and tried to locate the pillow that had gone missing but instead poked Ted in the ribs several times, which tickled him until he woke up very, very confused. :) (I thought the pillow was between us. encouragement

/Kate Elliott has opened her blog up to questions from the audience. One of the questions asked was did anyone ever discourage you to start/continue writing?, which she turned back around to the readers after she answered it herself. My response got, um, too long for comments, so I’m just bringing it up over here. The short answer: no, no one ever discouraged me. The long answer I’ll put behind the cut. :)
