Hmph. Chantico won’t actually stay down here in the office where I’m working so I can keep an eye on her. She’s lying mournfully in the foyer, staring down the hall (but not at me, because I’m out of her line of sight) in a guilt-inducing fashion. Well, she was until I went to take a picture of her, of course. :)

Oh! Emily called yesterday. She’s made it safely to Kotlik, the kitten and the dog (who belongs to Jen with whom she is rooming) are getting along okay, she and Jen are getting along swimmingly, the new school they’ve built in Kotlik (which won’t open until January) is the best laid-out and designed school she’s ever seen, the old school which she’s currently in is a hodgepodge and a mess but interesting, she has the nicest duplex in the village and there was a potluck going on yesterday afternoon that…

Did I mention we went to The Importance of Being Ernest on Saturday? It was delightful. Hm. That may be the sum total of what I have to say this morning. :) No, that’s not entirely true. A little update for my test readers, too: I have no idea how much I’ve written. I mean, I know how many words and chapters (16.5K, 8.5), but it’s all tremendously out of order and I’m not sure how much more needs to be written before I get it to a point where…
