I turned out to be not bougie after all, because a couple hours after I booked the laundry service, the landlord came by with a new dryer (on a Saturday evening!) and we could do our own laundry, so I cancelled the service. :) I am, however, looking at the living room floor, which was last vacuumed about eight days ago and has collected visible amounts of dog hair, and am booking a cleaner. spring cleaning, i guess
I read an article the other day that said the average American household has 300,000 items in it and now I want to get rid of everything we own. :p I mean, this isn’t really like a sudden new urge. I’ve been suffering from the Tyranny Of Things for a while now, and I keep grimly trying to do something about it. It doesn’t seem to get anywhere. More books appear. The somewhat alarming thing is that I feel I could quite probably go back to sleep. It is just barely possible I’ve surpassed my ability to cope. We’ve dismantled the Christmas tree, which is quite an accomplishment. I even managed to more or less clean the kitchen. I’m…attempting…to make some headway on cleaning the office; half an hour’s effort yesterday took it from this:…
