low-key day

Very low-key day today. Had plans to do a long bike ride, but Dad suggested we go berry picking instead. Had plans to go berry picking, but intestinal system suggested we rebel against the deliciously wonderfully incredibly good seafood fettucine Ted made for dinner last night. My god, it was good. But I’ve stopped ordering it at restaurants because it upsets my tummy, and it turns out that even home-made seafood fettucine upsets my tummy. Darn. Will have to get Ted to make chicken and broccoli fettucine next time. :)…

emily!

I have an EMILY! Last night at 9:30 the doorbell rang, and I thought: Well, I’m sure as hell not answering that, I don’t know who it could be and I’m in the middle of watching Farscape! Ted answered the door, and I heard a plainitive voice say, “Can I come in and watch Farscape?” *laugh* And now Emily is here! We have her for about a month, before she flies off to the wilds of Alaska. She has plans to go to the Alaska Native Heritage Center and learn…

biking!

I went biking! While biking, I was inspired to write a haiku! Bugs suiciding in my bra. Twenty-four miles an hour is pure joy! Well, I didn’t say it was a /good/ haiku. :)

locked out

I went for a 13 and something mile bike ride last night, got home, saw that Ted wasn’t home, put my bike in the garage, efficiently locked the garage door (which I usually forget to do) and then discovered the front door was locked. I did not, of course, have my keys. Back door was locked, too. I went over to the elementary school next door and swung on the swingsets for a while.
